Day 2
After breakfast we travel to Donsol, Sorsogon, the highlight of our trip
– the encounter with Whalesharks. Good swimming skills are an advantage,
because the Whalesharks are often very fast. Under water they seem motionless,
but one single movement of their tail fin propels them several meters
through the water. After the first encounter with a Whaleshark you will
understand why many people consider this the experience of a lifetime.
After the first hours of snorkelling with Whalesharks there is a short lunch brake. Then we continue snorkelling until you have had your share of them.
These supposedly largest fish in the world, appear in the mouth of the long and winding Donsol River in the Province of Donsol on a regular basis. Every year this phenomenon begins in October and reaches its peak between January and May, when large numbers of Whalesharks appear to feed on plankton and crayfish - their only diet. In spite of their impressive size they are peaceful animals and allow man to approach them fairly close. This amazing event attracts many tourists. Swim and snorkel with the giants of the ocean.
The second day ends with a comfortable get together in the Venezia Hotel
in Legaspi. Adventurers are free to explore the city on their own.
Day 3
Breakfast at 7 a.m., then drive to Donsol – snorkel with
Whalesharks all day. In the evening we drive to Sorgonson to the Fernando
Hotel.

Day 4 - Eco Tour through the Province of Sorsogon
After breakfast we start our “eco tour” day trip. This is
a trip to the surrounding area of Sorsogon with stops at various historic
places and several hidden sites.
Day 5 - Heimreise
After checking out of the Fernando Hotel at 9 a.m., we travel from Sorsogon
City to Legaspi City. Here we visit the remains of the old church of Cagsawa,
which was built by Fray Fransisco in 1724. The church was buried by lava
and rocks after the eruption of the Mayon Volcano. More than 300 people,
who had tried to rescue themselves inside the church where killed in this
incident.
From this spot you have a nice view of the majestic volcano, with its
remarkable cone shape. You can find various souvenir and flower (orchids)
shops in the area. Good weather provided, we drive to a spectacular view
point of the Mayon Volcano. From there you have a fantastic view of the
volcano and the city of Legaspi.
Then we travel back via Naga and Lucena to Batangas City, where you will
either return to your resort or transfer to Manila for your trip back
home.
